Installation using the setup package
- Download the latest version of the installation package from the download page http://www.artifactmanager.com/downloads.html.
- Run the downloaded installation package artifactmanager-x.x.x-yyyymmdd.exe (x.x.x - the latest version; yyyymmdd -
year, month and day of the version, e.g., artifactmanager-1.1.0-20080901.exe). This opens the Artifact Manager Setup Wizard:
Click Next to continue.
- During the installation wizard will search for an installed JRE (Java Runtime Environment). After search it may ask to update or install
the required JRE(JRE version 1.5 or higher required):
Click Next to continue.
- On the directory selection page, choose the folder in which to install Artifact Manager.
Click Next to continue.
- On the menu folder selection page, choose Start Menu folder for the Artifact Manager shortcuts.
Click Install to continue.
- The process page shows the Artifact Manager installation process, copying files, creating shortcuts, etc.
- The JRE installation package is included in the software package artifactmanager-x.x.x-yyyymmdd.exe and will start automatically (
installation of the JRE requires a connection the Internet to download required files). After the initialization of the JRE
installation package, the JRE wizard starts.
Click Accept to accept the Java license agreement and continue.
- The process page shows JRE files download and installation process (downloading of files may take time, depending on the speed
of the Internet connection).
- Click Finish on the the completion page of the JRE installation. This resumes the Artifact Manager Setup Wizard.
- In the process of the installation required files will be copied to the installation folder and
Artifact Manager shortcuts created.
Click Next to continue.
- To complete the Artifact Manager Setup Wizard, click Finish.
- Click the Artifact Manager icon on Desktop to start application
